With a little pratice, the single pin removement is as easy. First you need a pointed tool to lift carefully the extract protection inside the connector (picture01). Repeat this for every single cable. No you can reconfigure the connector following the pin assignment of your mainboard.





For some mainboards you also have to change the connector itself. You have to open the key-pin (the closed one) by using a very small drill (average) or a pointed tool f.e. a staple (novice). Heat the head of the pointing tool and pierce the closed key-pin (picture02). Be carefull, because the connectors material is not designed for this kind of modification.
